Free time
The Venosta Valley has a lot to offer in terms of leisure activities – whether in the mountains, in the valley or in and around Lake Reschen and Lake Haidersee. Decide whether you prefer a quiet or adventurous holiday. We are happy to lend you hiking poles, rucksacks, snowshoes and sledges for your day trips.
There is also plenty to marvel at for art and culture lovers. Monasteries, churches, castles and sights adorn the entire Venosta Valley. Starting with the bunkers on the Reschen Pass and the sunken church tower in Lake Reschen, along the Roman Via Claudia Augusta to the Marienberg monastery and the medieval town of Glurns – to name just a few historical treasures.
Summer Offer
Our farm is the ideal starting point for hikes and mountain tours. Take a break in one of the many mountain huts and savour the local dishes before climbing to the summit and taking in the incredible view of the mountain landscape. If you prefer to stay in the valley, we recommend a walk around Lake Haidersee or Lake Reschen.
The Venosta Valley can also be explored by bike: Whether on the perfectly groomed mountain bike trails or along the Via Claudia Augusta, along which you can reach the spa town of Merano on the well-developed cycle path. The Venosta Valley railway will take you back to Malles/Mals, from where we will be happy to pick you up.
The two lakes offer opportunities for sailing, kitesurfing and fishing. The kite school based there offers beginners' courses and equipment hire. On Lake Reschen you can also hire pedal boats or book a boat trip, which is especially fun for children. So, let's get into the cool water!
For summer activities we lend hiking poles and hiking rucksacks from the farm
Winter Offer
In winter, the many kilometres of pistes in the ski areas provide fun and adventure. On request, a free shuttle bus will take you from the Kaschonhof to the valley station of the “Haideralm”, which is just a few metres away. There you will also find a direct connection to the “Schöneben” and ““Nauders”“ ski areas.
There are toboggan runs just a few metres away from the Kaschonhof, guaranteeing winter fun for the whole family. To explore the valley, cross-country skiing on the 109 kilometres of trails in Val Venosta/Vinschgau is particularly recommended. The two frozen lakes invite you to take romantic walks. Ice skaters, snowkiters and ice sailors can also be found here.
For winter activities we hire out toboggans, snowshoes and toboggans from the farm.
Farm experience
Our daughter Marie is happy to walk the dogs with you and your children. Marie offers a goat walk once a week all year round, accompanied by an adult. There is also the opportunity to milk the goats by hand and feed the animals on the farm. We also offer a weekly activity (all year round) for our guests, where they can paint stones in our arbor or lounge and get creative with us.
